Are you nervous about Counselling and not sure what to expect? Do you have any questions? Read these FAQ and find out all the answers to your fears.

Will you give me advice?

No, I won’t advise you what to do but at your request, I will help to guide you to make the right choices for you.

Can you cure me?

No, but with my help and support, you can cure yourself.

Can you medicate me?

No, I am not qualified to administer drugs.

What if I don’t feel like talking, should I still come?

Yes, because in the safety of our area you can just sit and reflect. You will not be pressured into talking and therefore feel relaxed. In time you might feel ready to talk but if not, that’s fine.

What if I am late?

You have a 50 minute slot that is allocated to you, so I encourage you to be on time. However, if circumstances change because you are unable to keep to the same time, we can look to review it.

What if I cancel a meeting?

Where possible 24 hours notice is required. If this is not possible, a cancellation charge of 50% of your normal fee will be charged.

What if I want to stop coming?

That’s OK but because it is important that we have a proper ending to our relationship, contact me to arrange a final meeting.

What if I want to come back?

And that’s OK too.

Do you only work in Hove?

No, this is where I am based but I also travel to people homes and cover various areas.

Can you see more than two people at the same time?

Yes, I offer family mediation counselling.
